Terms and Conditions


Read carefully, if any questions or clarification needed, contact Sunflower Moving and Storage:


→ Transportation of your shipment.

→ Truck, tolls, mileage, taxes, and fuel!

→ Loading and unloading of all items.

→ Complete inventory and identification system of each individual item.

→ Standard disassembly and re-assembly of furniture (Electric beds not included).

→ Blanket wrapping of furniture to help to prevent damages. (Free tape to secure all blankets)

→ Furniture placement in designated rooms.

→ Basic valuation liability protection of $0.60 per lb. per article (FVP available at extra charge).

→ No charge to shrink wrap all upholstered furniture. (Beds, sofas, ottomans, chairs, etc.)

→ The first 75 feet of long carry at origin and destination.

→ No additional charge for first flight of stairs at origin & destination.

→ One month of climate controlled storage free [Long term available].

→ Air-ride trucks & trailers


→ Packing supplies and/or packing service such as boxes, crating, etc.

→ Crating such as breakables items, mirrors, pictures, glass pictures, artwork, etc.

→ Unpacking of boxes at time of delivery.


By law, the relocation companies are prohibited to transport or store the following: live plants, explosive, fireworks, gases of any sort, flammable materials, liquids, perishables, jewelry, medication, important documentation guns, weapons, ammunition or similar items.

NO ITEMS THAT ARE NOT BOXED: NO Plastic/Garbage bags allowed or any dresser drawers full of items or clothing. Pillows are allowed in dressers. NO Toolboxes full of tools.


→The shipper is responsible of: any parking permits, HOA approvals, elevator reservations or other documentation required to either pickup or deliver, not the moving company.

→ NOTE: In the event extra services are required at the time of pickup and/or delivery in order for the move to be completed, an additional charge will be applied, unless otherwise stated on your quote or charge previously at the booking.


ALL interstate deliveries will be done in a 18-wheeler semi-truck [75ft long truck]: equivalent at the length of 7 cars

Subject to change in the event of natural disasters, like earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc, or unpredictable exterior events as riots , manifestations, military presence, or potential dangerous situations for which the delivery will not be able to be done.

  • 0-250 → miles: 1-5 business days
  • 251-500 → miles: 1-7 business days
  • 501-1000 → miles: 1-10 business days
  • 1000+ → miles: 2-14 business days

Delivery to East and South-East Coast region:

It may take up to 14 business days max.

Delivery to Northwest region:

It may take up to 21 days to certain destination such as WY, ID, WA, OR, MT, SD, ND, ME, VT, NH, South of Texas, Northern California.


We have certain options for a direct or expedited delivery, please ask your move coordinator.

NOTE: The delivery time frame shall go into effect from the earliest date when ready for the delivery:[your first available date to receive your belongings] due to: logistics, movement and scheduling of our trucks, and not from your pickup date.

Any oral promises made regarding delivery or pick up dates and times are mere estimates.


The final charges associated with a cubic feet (cu.ft.) move are determined by the actual space of the shipment. In the event that the estimated cubic feet of your shipment is over 300 cu.ft., you, the shipper, will be responsible for the actual cu.ft. of your shipment.

  • A binding moving estimate is based upon the articles and services listed, and provided by you, the shipper.
  • In the interest of an accurate quote, and given that this estimate is not based upon an IN HOME VISUAL ESTIMATE, for which make sure that the actual item sizes listed do not exceed 5% of their assigned cubic footage or weight-based values.
  • Be aware that the binding estimate is based on the items you provide at the time of booking.
  • If there are additional items at the time of the pickup, this will definitely will affect the cubic feet will be charge at your current rate per cube/pound which is guaranteed!
  • On the day of your move Sunflower Moving and Storage crew will inspect the shipment to insure that it is properly prepared to be transported, and that the items to be moved will commensurate with your stated inventory.
  • The foreman will then ask that you sign the appropriate paperwork. Every page needs to be signed: bill of lading, notice of liability, post contract services, etc, including all inventory list(s) of all articles to be transported.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the inventory listed here is accurate and properly packed at the time of pickup. The shipper will be responsible of revising the inventory at the time of delivery as well.


We strongly recommend you advise your Sunflower Moving and Storage representative of any accessorial/post contract services, such as: flights of stairs, elevators, extra drop-offs or pick-ups, re-delivery, storage, long carry or other services needed at the time of pickup or delivery, as these may incur in supplemental charges. →Applicable charges will be based upon Sunflower Moving and Storage tariff.

Stairs – Up to 1-flight of stairs/13 steps will be free at pickup and delivery. Each additional flight/steps will be charged $84.00 per flight at pickup, and the same will be applied at delivery if needed. At destination the stairs fee is as follows: 200-420cu.ft per extra flight = $84.00 421cu.ft & up x $0.20/per cu.ft. per extra flight.

Long Carry – An added charge for carrying articles over 75ft between the movers vehicle and your residence will be added based on the additional distance needed. Each additional of 75 ft. will be charged an extra $84.00. At destination the long carry fee is as follows: 200-420cu.ft per 75ft = $84.00 – 421cu.ft & up x $0.20/per cu.ft. per 75ft.

Elevator – There is an elevator fee of $75.00 for which the shipper will need to make the reservation with the management office of your building complex. In high-riser buildings this is a must and the fee will be applied upon confirmation. This is applicable at destination as well, by the law there will be a one-time charge of $75 for elevator at destination, provide the information in advance to your representative.

Shuttle Service – If the 18-wheeler truck is not able to access your delivery site, due to: restrictions of the building, of the city accessibility/restrictions, or will not fit, then an additional charge will be added where the use of a smaller truck will be needed to provide the service and will accommodate the volume of our belongings. A shuttle service is charge: 200-420 cu.ft.=$350.00 flat rate 421 cu.ft. & up x $0.72 per cu.ft. as a one-time charge.

If you are not ready to receive your delivery and you do not have a first available date set, as a courtesy we can allow up to 30 days at no charge to store your belongings in our storage facility.
After 30 days you will be charged a fee for storage at the rate of $0.40 cents per cubic feet per month with a minimum of $250.00. Additional storage will be invoiced monthly.

Extra charges may apply for handling bulky items such as: pianos, pool tables, motorcycles, wall units, china cabinets, playgrounds, ATVs, safes, sculptures and other similar specialty items. A fully loaded tool box in considered a bulky item.

Notify your move coordinator in advance if you have any specialty items that may fall into the bulk items category and be aware a fee will be applied.

At the time of pick up, Sunflower Moving and Storage crew will disassemble the items such as beds, shelves, and similar items you need them to set apart, and will reassemble them at the time of delivery, with exception of the list below.

IMPORTANT: Any item that is warranted with any safety issue WILL NOT BE REASSEMBLED such as: cribs, pool tables, patio swings, adjustable base beds, exercise equipment, and similar. The delivery crew WILL NOT PLUG-IN any electrical /mechanical devices such as: TV’s, speakers, appliances, etc.

As per federal regulation, you will need to select a liability option so, the default carrier liability is “$0.60 cents per pound per article”. This means that if a desk that weighs 100 lb. were to sustain damage during the course of your relocation, the maximum carrier liability would be $60.00.

Basic Limited liability protection is included with every move. Distinct from the two options outlined above, it is also possible to procure an insurance policy for your move from a third party such as: Baker International (ID: 19919), MovingInsurance.com or the insurer of your choice if you are interested in insuring your goods, arrangements should be made in advance of your move date. Sunflower Moving and Storage does not have any direct affiliation, nor does it endorse any particular Insurance provider.

If you are interested and will like to procure additional carrier liability insurance, speak directly with a Sunflower Moving and Storage representative to provide you will the information.


  1. Upon booking a 25% deposit is required to be paid in the form of credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover only), cashier check, or personal check, to reserve your spot.
  2. At pick-up 70% of the balance less the deposit is due in the form of credit or debit card (processing 3% fee)*, cashier check, cash, postal money order. The Carrier reserves the right to collect up to 70% of balance due prior to the goods leaving the origin state. *[++There is 3% credit card transactions fee for all credit card payment methods other than the deposit++].
  3. At delivery the balance is due prior to unloading in the form of: Post Office Money Order, Zelle®, Cash ONLY. ***No other payment is accepted at delivery! ***

Subject to federal law, payment in FULL of all charges is required before delivery and PRIOR to unloading.

The right to issue a charge-back will be waived at the moment this binding estimate quote is signed and the authorization by e-signature is placed and authorized here. The initial payment/charge for deposit will not be charge-back as it corresponds to the space and date reservation for pickup only.

** Only payment terms as outlined in this contract will be considered authorized unless exceptions are noted above per management approval in writing.

The cancellation has to be 2-business days prior to the original pickup date in writing, via email, to be a refundable deposit in full.

We are the only relocation company in the industry that will do this!

If the reservation is cancelled 1-day or same day, by phone or email , the deposit is non-refundable.

If the cancellation happens at the day of the pickup and or the crew is in the pick up site, the deposit is non-refundable.

If the original pickup date is postponed by the shipper, via email or phone, the deposit is non-refundable.
